AC Hotel by Marriott Sydney Hyde Metropolitan

AC Hotel Sydney Hyde Metropolitan will open on the lower floors of Deicorp's 55-storey Hyde Metropolitan tower at 133 Liverpool Street, facing Hyde Park in the Sydney CBD. Marriott's AC Hotels brand's first New South Wales property, the 104-room hotel is operated by Trilogy Hotels and targeted for late 2027, with construction already under way.

The concept

AC Hotel Sydney Hyde Metropolitan is the AC Hotels brand's first New South Wales property and third in Australia, developed by Deicorp as the hospitality component of its 55-storey Hyde Metropolitan residential and retail tower and operated by Trilogy Hotels under a Marriott franchise. The site previously held the Polding Centre, a 1977 office building the developer bought from the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney — genuine new construction rather than a hotel conversion. Construction was reported under way as of the announcement, with the 104-key hotel occupying the tower's lower floors.

Dining & wellness

A ground-floor all-day dining restaurant, an AC Bar & Lounge on level six, a grab-and-go F&B outlet, meeting rooms, an AC Library and a gym are planned; specific chefs have not been announced.
