The place

The concept
Marriott International signed an agreement in 2022 with 1990 Developments Pty Ltd — controlled by ASX-listed Maas Group Holdings and Gibb Group — to build the first hotel of the Aerotropolis, designed by architecture firm Hassell. The AU$70 million, 200-room project was reported without a firm opening timeline for an extended period before construction firmed up around a completion targeted for December 2026, to coincide with the airport's opening to passengers.
