The place

The hotel is at 2120 4th Avenue in Belltown, Seattle's dense nightlife and arts district just north of downtown, within walking distance of the Space Needle and the waterfront.

The concept

The Sound Hotel occupies the first ten floors of Arrivé, a newly built residential tower in Belltown, and opened in February 2019 as the first Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotel on the West Coast. The design draws on Belltown's music and gallery-scene history, mixing warm textures and locally-inflected artwork intended to read as distinctly Pacific Northwest rather than generic upscale-boutique.

Dining & wellness

Currant Bistro & Bar, on the ground floor, serves shareable, locally-sourced small plates and cocktails alongside a grab-and-go coffee counter; the hotel also has small meeting and event space with unobstructed Space Needle views.
