ROOST Rainey

ROOST Rainey, Method Co.'s Texas debut for its apartment-hotel brand, opened in February 2026 across four floors of the newly built Paseo tower on Rainey Street. Its 59 units come with full kitchens and in-unit laundry, backed by a 12th-floor pool deck, two floors of coworking space and an Amaya restaurant serving Mediterranean food.

The place

80 Rainey Street, occupying floors 14 through 17 of the 48-story Paseo tower in Austin's Rainey Street Historic District — a former bungalow-lined entertainment strip now largely rebuilt into high-rise residential towers.

The concept

ROOST Rainey is Method Co.'s eighth property and its first in Texas, an apartment-hotel format with full kitchens and in-unit laundry aimed at both short stays and longer visits. Interiors use vintage furnishings from Austin-based Four Hands alongside velvet and leather upholstery, handmade tile and white oak cabinetry, with custom artwork referencing the Rainey Street district's history. The building targets LEED Silver and a 3-Star Austin Energy Green Building rating.

Dining & wellness

Daydreamer Coffee occupies the ground floor; Amaya, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, sits on the 12th floor alongside a pool deck with cabanas and bar service, with an as-yet-unnamed Italian steakhouse planned for later in 2026. The property also has a fitness center with reformer Pilates and yoga studios, cold plunges and saunas, and two floors of coworking space.
