bohème, Elysian Real Estate Group's first hotel, is converting a sustainable apartment building on East Austin's Comal Street into a 20-room boutique property themed room-by-room around Austin culture, with a rooftop bar and a seed-oil-free dining program from Nova Hospitality. Originally announced for summer 2026, trade press now points to a September 2026 opening.

400 Comal Street, East Austin — a corridor built on live music, food culture and nightlife, and the setting for a hotel whose room-by-room concept is explicitly built around that identity.

The concept

bohème converts a sustainable apartment building into a 20-room boutique hotel, Elysian Real Estate Group's first property and, according to trade coverage, an intended first entry in a wider planned chain. Each of the six named suites — including The Outlaw, The Start-Up and From Dusk Till Dawn — is individually themed around a strand of Austin culture, designed by Baldridge Architects.

Dining & wellness

Nova Hospitality runs the food and beverage program, built around ingredients free of seed oils and refined sugar: Sacred Souls, an intimate cocktail lounge, and Higher Spirits, a rooftop bar and lounge with a roughly 1,000-square-foot lawn and skyline views. A lobby bar and a ground-floor grocer are also planned, with further F&B details still pending.
