The St. Regis Hong Kong opened on 11 April 2019 on the Wan Chai waterfront, becoming Marriott International's 7,000th hotel globally at the time. The 129-room property, designed by André Fu, brought the brand's signature butler service to a residential-style interior overlooking Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The concept

The St. Regis Hong Kong opened on 11 April 2019 in a 27-storey tower on the Wan Chai waterfront, becoming Marriott International's 7,000th hotel worldwide at the time of its opening. Hong Kong-based designer André Fu, working on his home turf, gave the 129 rooms and suites a residential, gallery-like feel: wood flooring, muted tones and artisanal detailing over a more conventionally ornate St. Regis look. The hotel carries the brand's signature round-the-clock butler service, including an in-app eButler chat function launched alongside the opening.

Dining & wellness

L'Envol serves French haute cuisine from chef Olivier Elzer; Rùn is a Cantonese restaurant led by chef Hung Chi-Kwon; The Drawing Room handles all-day dining and the hotel's afternoon tea; and the St. Regis Bar completes the property's dining and drinks line-up.

We had an excellent experience staying at the St Regis Hong Kong this month. The property was what we'd expect as a five-star hotel. The room was large, immaculate clean and beautifully furnished. There was shower and a huge soaking bathtub which we took full advantage of. We're offered complementary breakfast as platinum elite member. Breakfast was ordered a la carte style, everything was made to order. This was an elevated experience comparing to the typical buffet breakfast. The real highlight that distinguishes St Regis from the other hotels was the staff members and their services. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly, professional and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Special big shout-out to Kylie at the fitness center, Alan and Dexter at the Drawing Room, they really showed us the hospitality that really exceeded out expectations. St Regis Hong Kong is definitely one of our favorite luxury hotels in Hong Kong. That is quite significant given there are so many excellent hotels in Hong Kong. If there is anything I'd nitpick would be the lack of sights from the hotel rooms. The hotel was surrounded by other high rise buildings.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful! The service is amazing and everything is totally exceptional. Everyone’s so nice and attentive, specially the two ladies at reception, Sun Ni and Florence as well as the gentleman, Sherwin. Sherwin helped with last minute booking over the phone and ensured that the best rate and discount was provided! And went out of his way to be welcoming. Florence and Sun Ni… where do I start from?! They’re absolutely amazing! Really kind, caring and attentive! Really made the stay special and gave all the tips, suggestions and recommendations! And the way they spoke, although very professional, but made me feel like a friend rather than a guest, which was extremely special. And they went out of their way to leave a beautiful note and to print off a full daily itinerary for me 🤍 will definitely come back!!

Its a luxurious hotel with excellent decor, service, staff, comfort and restaurants. Very efficient, modern but a very strong feel of old opulance. Very well situated for MTR, ferry and road travle. Many options if convenience nearby. St Regis is of the best. We will most definitely return.

Greeted on arrival by GM Richard Taffs, who somehow seems to be everywhere at once — the service felt genuinely personal. As a Bonvoy Titanium, I was upgraded to a beautiful St. Regis Suite, which was stunning. Breakfast was excellent, especially the à‑la‑carte buffet and one of the best omelettes I’ve ever had. The 5:30 pm Champagne Sabering with Charles de Cazanove 2016 was a fun and elegant touch. Truly one of the best luxury hotel experiences in Hong Kong.

One of the finest hotels in Hong kong. We stayed in their Suite, the room is spacious enough much better than other hotels nearby. They have 3 restaurants (Chinese, French and the breakfast hall). They could add a little more options here. They should also add a small kid's playarea which is missing currently. The service is super fast and the staff is very courteous. They also have complimentary car seats and strollers in case you forgot yours. They serve hi Tea from 2.30pm until 4.30 pm. They have the very famous champagne bottle opening ceremony like the all other St.Regis. Overall a nice stay.
