The concept
Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong opened on 28 April 2017 as the fourth Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts property in the city and the debut of the group's upscale Kerry Hotels brand there. Rather than a conventional city tower, the hotel was built around an unusually large low-rise footprint for Hong Kong, with a private waterfront promenade, terraced gardens and open-air sports decks — pitched by the group as the city's first waterfront 'urban resort' rather than a business hotel. More than 60% of the 546 rooms face the harbour, with room sizes running from 42 to 294 square metres for the Presidential Suite.
Dining & wellness
Big Bay Café, the all-day dining buffet, is built around seven live cooking pavilions — Steam, Grill, Chill, Fry, Stew, Dessert Lab and The Nook — serving international cuisines with harbour views. Kerry Sports Base Camp extends the hotel's fitness offering outdoors with running clubs, HIIT sessions and organised boating and hiking trips rather than a conventional gym-only setup.
