Mondrian Hong Kong

Mondrian Hong Kong opened on 18 December 2023 in Tsim Sha Tsui as the first Mondrian hotel in Greater China, marking Ennismore's entry into the Hong Kong market. The 324-room property occupies a triangular 40-storey tower previously home to Peterson Group's Hotel Panorama, closed in 2020 for a two-year, ground-up reimagining under the Mondrian brand with interiors by Karin Krautgartner.

The concept

Mondrian Hong Kong opened on 18 December 2023 as the first Mondrian hotel in Greater China, a joint launch by Ennismore and the building's owner, Hong Kong developer Peterson Group. The 40-storey triangular tower had operated since 2008 as the Peterson-owned Hotel Panorama; the group closed it in 2020 for a roughly two-year, full reimagining of the interiors under the Mondrian brand, keeping the building's distinctive angled structure — curving walls, sharply angled corridors — while replacing everything else. Karin Krautgartner led the interior design, working local and international art and installations through the 324-room property, which includes 12 two-bay suites and sweeping Victoria Harbour and skyline views.

Dining & wellness

Carna, a nose-to-tail Italian steakhouse on the 39th floor by Tuscan butcher Dario Cecchini, is designed by Hong Kong architect Joyce Wang. Avoca, the cocktail bar, anchors Kowloon's evolving nightlife scene with DJ sets and harbour views, and a 40th-floor rooftop space is given over to cultural events and community gatherings.
