SonoLux

SonoLux opened in Old Montreal in November 2025 as Quebec's first contemporary art hotel, occupying an $18-million-restored 1915 neo-classical bank building near Notre-Dame Basilica. Developed by Épik Collection with architecture by Geiger Huot and interiors by Zabb Design, its 36 rooms sit inside a working gallery whose exhibitions change twice a year.

The concept

Quebec's first contemporary art hotel, developed by Épik Collection with architecture by Geiger Huot and interiors by Zabb Design, treats its eight floors as a working gallery — exhibitions rotate every six months around 'The Cosmic Code,' a permanent generative installation by Behaviour Interactive that responds to guests' movement and music.

Dining & wellness

LUMI, a lobby restaurant led by chef Graham Hood, and Subterra, a below-ground audio lounge for deep listening with programming from DJ Fred Everything.
