Gray Collection has opened its second Metcalfe hotel, a 119-room downtown Montreal property built on the site of the storied Ben's Deli. The quiet-luxury concept pairs a heated year-round outdoor pool — rare for a downtown address — with Benjamin, a Parisian-style steakhouse, four years after the brand's debut in Ottawa.

The hotel occupies the corner of Metcalfe Street and De Maisonneuve Boulevard West, on the footprint of the former Ben's Deli, in the heart of Montreal's downtown office and retail core.

The concept

The second Metcalfe property, four years after the brand's 2022 debut in Ottawa, applies Gray Collection's quiet-luxury formula — earthy palettes, minimalist detailing, clean lines — to an 11-floor downtown tower aimed at design-minded business and leisure travelers who want a boutique feel without leaving the financial district.

Dining & wellness

Dining runs through Benjamin, a Parisian-style steakhouse; amenities include a heated outdoor pool open year-round, a fitness room, and four meeting and event spaces for up to 75 guests.
