The first JW Marriott in the Carolinas opened in August 2021 inside Charlotte's new Ally Charlotte Center development, directly across from the Convention Center. The place

The 22-story, ground-up tower sits inside Ally Charlotte Center, a mixed-use development by Crescent Communities in Uptown's financial district, directly across from the Charlotte Convention Center and within walking distance of Bank of America Stadium and the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

The concept

Opened in August 2021, JW Marriott Charlotte was White Lodging's first North Carolina property and the brand's first entry into the Carolinas, built as new construction rather than a conversion. The 381-room, 34-suite tower was designed to serve both the adjacent Convention Center's group business and upscale leisure travelers, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing city, stadium and skyline views. Its scale and rooftop pool set it apart from the boutique-format openings elsewhere in Uptown, positioning it as Charlotte's large-format, full-service luxury flagship rather than a design-led boutique play.

Dining & wellness

Three in-house dining venues — Dean's Italian Steakhouse, Caroline's Oyster Bar and Aura Rooftop — plus the six-treatment-room Spa by JW, a 24-hour fitness center, an open-air rooftop pool with cabanas, and roughly 22,000 square feet of meeting space.
