Hotel Henrietta

Hotel Henrietta opened in April 2024 at the edge of the Garden District as the first hotel built from the ground up on St. Charles Avenue in 30 years — a five-storey, 40-room boutique property that went on to earn a Michelin Key for 2025.

The concept

Press coverage consistently frames Hotel Henrietta as the first hotel built entirely from scratch on St. Charles Avenue in three decades — a genuine ground-up construction rather than a conversion of one of the avenue's historic mansions or office buildings. The five-storey, roughly 34,000-square-foot building is modern on the outside but deliberately references New Orleans architectural tropes: an arched ground-floor colonnade, upper-floor galleries recalling the avenue's historic homes, and interiors mixing mid-century modern, Art Deco and Belle Époque details with richly veined marble and a parquet ceiling in reception. At 40 rooms it is small and intentionally boutique, aimed at guests who want to be immersed in the Garden District rather than downtown.
