Cambria Hotel Savannah Downtown Historic District opened in December 2022 at 321 Montgomery Street, a ground-up six-story build and Choice Hotels' first Cambria-branded property in Georgia. Developer HOS Management Group broke ground in 2018; the 101-room hotel is managed by Peachtree Hotel Group.

The place

The hotel stands at 321 Montgomery Street in Savannah's National Historic Landmark District, within walking distance of Forsyth Park, the Savannah Civic Center and the SCAD Museum of Art. The address sits a few blocks inland from River Street, closer to the city's museum and college-town cluster than to the riverfront hotel strip.

The concept

Choice Hotels and Savannah-based developer HOS Management Group broke ground on the site in February 2018, building the six-story, 101-room hotel from the ground up as Cambria's debut property in Georgia. The project took longer than the initial 2019 target, opening in December 2022 with a formal grand-opening event the following spring. Peachtree Hotel Group manages day-to-day operations. Design leans on Cambria's standard playbook of locally themed art and contemporary fixtures rather than a bespoke architectural statement, positioning the hotel as a design-forward but mid-scale alternative to the historic-district's boutique and luxury properties.

Dining & wellness

An onsite restaurant and bar serves breakfast through dinner, with local craft beer, wine and cocktails alongside grab-and-go options; a rooftop bar and a lobby bar round out the beverage program. The hotel also has a fitness center and multi-purpose meeting and event space, but no spa or pool.
