The place

The Hoxton, Dublin occupies the historic Central Hotel building on Exchequer Street, in Dublin's Creative Quarter — a restored Victorian property that had operated as a hotel before Ennismore's conversion.

The concept

The Hoxton's Irish debut opened on 20 November 2025 with 129 rooms across the brand's usual Snug, Cosy, Roomy and Biggy categories. During development, Viking-era ruins were discovered on site and were incorporated into the finished hotel's design narrative rather than removed, tying the building's Victorian shell to a much older layer of Dublin's history. The opening also introduced Groundwork, Ennismore's first nightlife venue anywhere, a 220-capacity space built for dancing and live events.

Dining & wellness

Cantina Valentina, a Peruvian restaurant, anchors the food offering; Dollars operates as a sandwich and wine bar; the lobby includes a bar and lounge built around the excavated Viking-era ruins.
