The concept
The former Hotel X Fortitude Valley has been reborn as The Alva, IHG's first Vignette Collection address in Brisbane. The reinvention leans hard into the neighbourhood's music pedigree — vinyl-stocked signature suites with record players, a 'Sounds of Alva' programme spotlighting homegrown artists — over generic lifestyle-hotel styling drawn from Fortitude Valley's architecture and subtropical palette.
Dining & wellness
Iris Rooftop Bar and Restaurant sits above a 15-metre rooftop pool with cabanas, alongside French bistro Bisou Bisou and a 24-hour gym; no spa is mentioned.
