Hilton Garden Inn Brisbane City Centre North, a 129-room new-build in Spring Hill developed by Spring Hill Property Group, was signed by Hilton in March 2022 after the site's original Wyndham Garden Suites approval was rebranded pre-construction. Originally targeted for a late-2024 opening, the hotel remained under construction as of 2026 with no confirmed completion date.

The place

24-30 Hartley Street and 30-32 McConnell Street, Spring Hill, roughly 13 kilometres from Brisbane Airport, in the CBD's inner-north — within walking distance of Fortitude Valley's nightlife strip and the Howard Smith Wharves dining precinct.

The concept

Hilton signed the property in March 2022 as its fifth Hilton Garden Inn in Australasia and its second Brisbane hotel, after Harry Seidler-designed Hilton Brisbane on Elizabeth Street. The site was originally approved for a Wyndham Garden Suites development; amended plans, including the rebrand to Hilton Garden Inn, were lodged in May 2022, and construction on the roughly $50 million, Hayes Anderson Lynch Architects-designed, 129-room tower began later that year. Queensland's tourism minister at the time framed the project as a vote of confidence in the state's post-pandemic tourism recovery, citing around 100 construction jobs and 45 ongoing hospitality roles on completion. Construction was still under way as of 2026, well past the late-2024 opening originally floated at signing.

Dining & wellness

Plans include a full-service restaurant and bar, meeting facilities, a fitness room, and The Shop, a 24-hour grab-and-go retail outlet for essentials, local beverages and snacks.
