Dorsett Brisbane, a 387-room, 4.5-star hotel from Dorsett Hospitality International, is the remaining unopened tower of the four-hotel Queen's Wharf Brisbane precinct, following the Star Grand Brisbane's August 2024 debut. An opening in 2026 is targeted, but timing has repeatedly been described as unconfirmed.

The place

The hotel sits within the Queen's Wharf Brisbane integrated resort precinct on the CBD riverfront, operated as a joint venture between Star Entertainment Group, Far Eastern Consortium and Chow Tai Fook Enterprises under the Destination Brisbane Consortium.

The concept

Dorsett Brisbane is a genuine new-build tower on land that was never previously any kind of hotel, one of four hotels built as part of the roughly $3.6 billion Queen's Wharf redevelopment. The Star Grand Brisbane, the precinct's five-star flagship, opened in August 2024 with the Dorsett slated to follow in a staggered rollout; The Rosewood Brisbane, planned as Australia's only ultra-luxury six-star hotel, and The Treasury Brisbane, a heritage refurbishment currently listed for sale with no hotel group yet attached, complete the quartet. Once open, Dorsett Brisbane will offer 387 guestrooms and suites sharing precinct-wide facilities including a conference centre, pool, spa, gym and all-day dining.

Dining & wellness

Dining will draw on Queen's Wharf's shared all-day dining facility and the precinct's roughly 50 restaurants and bars; no hotel-specific restaurant has been named.
