The concept The Nobleman converts the No. 5 Fire Station (a firehouse that had never previously operated as a hotel) into a 153-room upscale property that opened in May 2025 under Hilton's Tapestry Collection. Designer Kathy Moran-Clarson of KMC&A Design restored the original fireman's pole and the white-tiled, brass-accented lobby, using them as the literal and thematic heart of the hotel's public spaces; the name is a nod to the firefighters who staffed the original station.
Developed by Jeff Blackman's Bedford Lodging and managed by Crestline Hotels and Resorts, the property mixes 121 standard rooms with 32 extended-stay suites with kitchenettes, and is pet-friendly: a practical touch given the residential, walkable character of Near Southside.
Dining & wellness Duchess, the hotel restaurant, serves New American cuisine with Texas influence and a consulting menu from chef Casey Thompson (Top Chef, The Mansion Restaurant); the bar has a partnership with Lucchese Bootmaker built around a signature tequila cocktail. Amenities include a pool, fitness center, and roughly 2,000 square feet of meeting and outdoor event space with terraces and fireplaces.
Our take The most character-driven of Fort Worth's recent adaptive-reuse openings: the preserved fire-station elements aren't decorative gestures bolted onto a generic build, they're the building's actual bones, and Casey Thompson's involvement gives Duchess real credibility beyond a typical hotel restaurant.

My husband and I are both firefighters, so we initially chose this hotel specifically because the office and seating area are located in a retired firehouse. We absolutely loved the old station! Honestly, putting the bar in the upstairs station would have been an incredible touch, but the setup is still amazing.
**The Room:**
It was extremely clean. There were zero signs of bedbugs, and the bathroom was spotless. I actually went over it with a UV light, and there wasn't a single spot on the walls, and the sheets looked brand new.
**The Bedding:**
The only real negative for the room was that the bed was very firm. They provide high-end, fancy feather-down blankets and pillows, which is great if you like that style. If you aren't a fan of down bedding, I'd definitely recommend bringing your own.
**Staff & Service:**
The staff was incredibly friendly, and the housekeeping ladies were very sweet and doing a fantastic job.
**Parking:**
Valet parking is available for $45 a night in a secured underground garage. We decided to skip the valet and opted for free street parking instead. It was only about a typical parking lot's walking distance away, and our vehicle and belongings were completely safe and untouched.
We would definitely stay here again!
Came across this hotel last year and now I have stayed numerous times. I absolutely love it! It is a boutique hotel with real character and history. The property beautifully incorporates the original No. 5 Fire Station, built in 1911, into its design. The historic firehouse now serves as the heart of the hotel, housing the check‑in area and lobby, and you can still see the original fireman’s pole rising through the space as a cool nod to its past. 
The rooms are stylish, modern, and comfortable, with all the amenities you want for a relaxing stay. The communal spaces and outdoor areas were inviting, and it felt like a thoughtful blend of old‑world charm and contemporary comfort. One of the highlights was Duchess, the on‑site restaurant, a chef‑driven, seasonally inspired spot with a menu rooted in Texas flavors that added a nice culinary touch to my visit. This place stands out as more than just a place to sleep, it’s got history, thoughtful design, and a welcoming vibe that makes it a memorable stay in Fort Worth!
15/10 experience here. Marcus at the front desk was beyond accommodating, and was the epitome of detail oriented. His communication was top notch, and it made our stay even better. He even extended our checkout time a few hours to accommodate my wife and newborn as I was in a conference. My only complaint (not even a true complaint) was parking. Valet seems to be the only valid option here which is fine, just don’t expect to park conveniently otherwise. Everything was clean and the rooms were exactly as described. My wife enjoyed a convenient breakfast down at the Duchess restaurant and said it was great. We will be back again when staying in the area!
Beautiful hotel with an unbeatable location—you can easily walk to nearby shops and restaurants, which made everything so convenient. The food was great across the board. The burger and fries were delicious, and the omelet was just as good.
A special shoutout to "Larry" at the bar—he truly made the experience stand out. His service was top-notch, drinks were excellent, and he was always attentive and on point.
The outdoor areas are a huge plus, with plenty of comfortable seating and fire pits that create a relaxing atmosphere. The pool is on the smaller side, but it’s very nice and perfect for unwinding. The entire property is exceptionally clean, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful.
The beds are very comfortable, though the pillows were a bit too soft for my preference. A couple of minor downsides: not all rooms come with microwaves, and the lighting near the door by the full-length mirror is quite dim.
Overall, a wonderful stay. I would absolutely come back and highly recommend it!
This has been one of my favorite hotel stays ever.
From walking in, the valet was very friendly and grabbed the door for us; even though we didn't need to use valet.
While checking in, the front desk lady was very kind even while her system was down. She remained very kind and collected, even as quite a few people started to collect into the main lobby. She was professional and got us into our room quickly.
The lobby itself was incredible. It was so clean and intentionally designed. It smelled like they used a custom scent for the hotel and it was lovely. There was a little seating area upstairs in the lobby too for if you needed to get some work done.
Our room was very nice. It was extremely clean and genuinely looked spotless. The beds were very comfortable and we even joked about trying to find where they buy the pillows because they were so nice.
I am planning another trip to Fort Worth in a few months and we will definitely be staying here again. Staff were very nice, the room was perfect, and the location was great too! This is the place to stay when visiting Fort Worth.
Upon writing this I am realizing I didn't snap any pictures of the room. I'll try to get some when we stay again in a few months. It does look exactly like the pictures show on the website.
