The place

The hotel occupies the southwest corner of Fifth and Main Street in downtown Fort Worth, next to the historic Art Deco Kress Building and about 100 steps from Sundance Square's restaurants and plazas.

The concept

AC Hotel Fort Worth Downtown is a ground-up, 16-story tower developed by Jackson-Shaw and opened in September 2020, bringing Marriott's European-inspired AC Hotels brand into the heart of downtown for the first time. The design language is the brand's usual formula — clean lines, minimalist public spaces, an emphasis on craft cocktails and coffee over full-service trimmings — applied to a genuinely central downtown site rather than a suburban pad. As a select-service property inside a global brand system, it is less an editorial statement than a well-located, design-conscious base: reliable, consistent, and useful for travelers who want walkability to Sundance Square without paying for a full-service luxury stay.

Dining & wellness

AC Kitchen serves a European-style breakfast, and AC Lounge offers tapas plates, craft cocktails and a signature gin and tonic on an outdoor patio with occasional live music. There is a 24-hour fitness center; no spa or full-service restaurant beyond the AC Lounge/Kitchen format.
