Hotel Drover, Autograph Collection

Hotel Drover opened in March 2021 as the first new building constructed in the Fort Worth Stockyards redevelopment. The 200-room Autograph Collection property brings a full-service, Western-styled luxury stay — plus chef Marcus Paslay's Provender Hall — to Mule Alley.

The place

Hotel Drover sits on Mule Alley in the Fort Worth Stockyards, the historic cattle-trading district on the city's north side. It was the first entirely new building constructed as part of the Stockyards' modern redevelopment.

The concept

Designed by Dallas firm HKS and opened in March 2021, Hotel Drover was built from the ground up to read as a natural extension of the Stockyards' century-old brick-and-timber streetscape, while functioning as a full-service, 200-room luxury lifestyle hotel. It anchors the wider Stockyards redevelopment that turned a working cattle district into a mixed hospitality and retail destination, and it leans into Western imagery — exposed wood, leather, ironwork — without pretending to be a restored historic structure, since it isn't one. The property's scale (a landscaped Backyard with pool, hot tub and cabanas) sets it apart from the district's older, smaller hotels and positions it as the Stockyards' flagship stay.

Dining & wellness

Provender Hall, the on-site restaurant from chef Marcus Paslay, anchors the food and drink program. The Backyard offers a heated pool, hot tub, cabanas, gardens and a library lounge; some rooms include in-room soaking tubs. A fitness center and complimentary bicycles round out the amenities.
