Moxy Miami Wynwood
Eight-story ground-up new build in the Wynwood Arts District
Open · October 2024
Moxy Miami Wynwood opened in October 2024 as Marriott's Moxy brand staked out ground-floor real estate in Miami's Wynwood Arts District. The 120-room, eight-story ground-up build pairs Moxy's playful, budget-conscious lifestyle formula with two restaurants from Miami hospitality group Noble 33, giving the neighborhood's mural-covered streets a new anchor for both overnight stays and street-level dining.

The place
The hotel sits at 255 NW 25th Street, in the heart of Wynwood, the former warehouse district turned street-art destination that has spent the past decade filling in with galleries, breweries, boutiques and the Wynwood Walls mural park. Once light-industrial and low-rise, the area now mixes converted warehouses with new construction, and Moxy Miami Wynwood is among the latter, built from the ground up rather than adapted from an existing structure. The location puts guests within walking distance of Wynwood's gallery blocks and restaurant strip, and a short drive from both downtown Miami and the Miami Design District, positioning the hotel for travelers who want to be inside the neighborhood's foot traffic rather than adjacent to it.
The concept
Moxy is Marriott's lifestyle-lite brand, built around compact rooms, communal public spaces and a lower price point than the group's upscale lifestyle labels, and Moxy Miami Wynwood applies that formula to an eight-story, purpose-built tower rather than a converted property. The hotel is a 50/50 joint venture between Baywood Hotels and Dolphin Capital Partners, with architecture by Miami-based Kobi Karp Architecture and Interior Design and interiors by iCrave, a Journey studio based in New York. The 120 rooms come in five configurations named after Miami touchstones — King (Graffiti Grove), Double Queen (MIA Playground), Double Queen and Bunk (La Familia), Quad Twin (Let's Bunk) and the Mojito XL king suite — ranging from roughly 211 to 592 square feet. True to the brand, the social hub is not the ground-floor lobby but a second-floor space combining check-in with Bar Moxy, a full-service bar furnished with board games, foosball and a library of art and design books. The building also carries a 24/7 fitness center and a rooftop pool. The overall bet is that Moxy's design-forward, community-oriented format — engineered for travelers who spend more time in shared spaces than in their rooms — fits naturally into a neighborhood built on street art, galleries and a dense restaurant scene, making the hotel as much a Wynwood social venue as a place to sleep.
Dining & wellness
Food and drink on-site is handled by Noble 33, the Miami-based hospitality group behind two restaurants in the building. Sparrow Italia, an Italian steakhouse from corporate executive chef Martin Heierling, occupies street level with dishes including wagyu carpaccio, a half-pound wagyu meatball and a 34-ounce prime Fiorentina, plus a bar-only pizza-by-the-slice menu. On the seventh floor, Casa Madera opened as a Tulum-inspired Mexican restaurant and lounge before closing; Brooklyn Chop House has since been announced to take over that rooftop space. Bar Moxy, on the second-floor lobby, covers breakfast and an evening bites-and-drinks menu.
