The place
Lively Hotel anchors OAK, a 20-acre mixed-use development at NW Expressway and Pennsylvania Avenue in northwest Oklahoma City, combining the hotel with new retail and residential space.
The concept
Opened in November 2024, Lively is Oklahoma's first hotel under Hilton's Tapestry Collection, a soft brand for independently minded upscale properties. Dallas-based, female-led Pickard Design Studio built the hotel's identity around the scissor-tailed flycatcher, Oklahoma's state bird — guestrooms use its persimmon, pink, orange, blue, and black palette in textiles and artwork, and even the desk chairs echo the bird's forked tail in their silhouette. As a new-build hotel anchoring a 20-acre mixed-use district still being developed, Lively's role is as much placemaking as accommodation: its bar, pool deck, and meeting space are pitched at both hotel guests and the surrounding OAK development's future residents and shoppers.
Dining & wellness
A 3,050-square-foot bar and restaurant anchors the ground floor, with an elevated amenity deck upstairs featuring a 2,400-square-foot outdoor bar and pool area; the hotel also has a fitness center and over 2,600 square feet of meeting space.
