Fordson opened on April 4, 2024, as The Unbound Collection by Hyatt's first hotel in Oklahoma, inside a Ford Motor Company assembly plant that dates to the early 20th century and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Designed originally by industrial architect Albert Kahn, the building's factory-scale windows, brick, and steelwork are kept visible throughout the 135-room hotel, with loft-style guestrooms layered in on top.
Owned by Hall Capital and managed by Avion Hospitality, the project is one of the more literal industrial-to-hospitality conversions in Oklahoma City's recent hotel wave: it leans on the building's manufacturing past for its identity (the name itself nods to the Fordson tractor brand) rather than disguising it, and it has become an anchor for the wider redevelopment of the West Village District around it.
Mary Eddy's Dining Room serves as the hotel's main restaurant, alongside a Pool Bar and Bodega for casual food and drink, and a Lobby Lounge; an outdoor pool deck sits among the original industrial architecture.

I love Hyatt, and I have always prioritized choosing Hyatt hotels for work trips because there's a lot they do right.
The room was really cute! Really cute gift store as well. The premise is so beautifully, thoughtfully, and meticulously curated, down to the faucet handles and other room decor items. The hotel is aesthetically on point. Amenities and room service was great. However, there were some days when my bathroom was cleaned out but my bed wasn't made so I wasn't sure. I really liked how they replenished everything. I thought their throw blanket was super cute and asked them where I could get it; they got my info but couldn't get back to me in the last 3 days that I was there. Honestly, service attitude was quite mid, what I would expect at a 3 star hotel, just nice but not eager to be helpful. I liked the amenities--there was a sauna and a steam room with bathrobes and slippers available. I found my room quite dark in the evening. Sometimes, I had super early morning video calls, and I struggled to get enough indoor lighting. (Was on the 2nd floor). I liked how there was a breakfast cafe store in the lobby, it wasn't super busy, maybe two or three other customers were there, but the employees there didn't seem very happy to help. I have to get to work early in the morning and order my breakfast to go, on average it took like 15 min, even for avocado toast. I feel like the price is just a bit high for their menu items, however, the lattes and Matcha drinks taste wonderful. I mainly tried their breakfast.
I have stayed at the Omni in OKC and I think I liked that stay just a tad more because I didn't constantly feel like I was making a dent on their day (and I was being as polite as I can be). I've been in the service industry before, and I understand working with people is difficult, and I am not trying to be difficult to please, but I felt like 80% of the interactions over I had with the front desk, valet, and the breakfast restaurant (over a 4 night stay) did not make me feel like my business was valued or that the employees wanted to be there. The valet service was nice but the difference between the two (Omni and Fordson) is absolutely night and day, and by which, I mean Omni's valet service absolutely knocked it out of the park and I tipped accordingly.
There's a close public garage across the street so you don't need to use valet. However, there was a day where the garage was fully parked because of a concert nearby, and the day after, the power broke out and it was super creepy.
So, given the prestige claimed by this hotel, I love the rooms (absolutely floored) and am overall a little disappointed in the service. I wish I could see the housekeeping staff to thank them personally but I didn't see any of them during my stay there. (Granted I was out typically from 8 AM to 8 PM) I wanted to give it 5 stars so bad!! I'm not sure if this sentiment is only felt by me, but I wanted to be as objective as I can. I would like to give it another chance but if the quality of service persists, I probably would prefer to take my business elsewhere.
Fordson was amazing! If visiting OKC this is a must stay! My family and I were so lucky to have their help dealing with a horrible 3rd party that booked the room for us (MemberDeals through GovX). They were so thoughtful and did everything in their power to help us. Room was very clean and aesthetic! They even have peloton equipment in weight room, and Sauna/Steam Room! By far one of the best hotels we stayed at and want to shout out Lauren, Shay, Mike, and Ivy!

I hardly ever write reviews, but considering this is one of the most expensive hotels in Oklahoma City, I felt compelled to share my experience.
I stayed at the Fordson Hotel for 24 hours while passing through OKC. To start with the positives, the staff was friendly enough. They weren’t especially warm or accommodating, but I also have no complaints about how I was treated personally.
Unfortunately, the rest of the stay was extremely disappointing.
The biggest issue was that my room (321) had no hot running water the entire time I was there. I was unable to take a proper shower for the full 24 hours of my stay and had to resort to taking a bird bath in the sink, which is completely unacceptable at any hotel, especially one at this price point.
The atmosphere of the hotel also made me uncomfortable. The hallways were incredibly desolate and had an almost abandoned-building feel to them. As a solo female traveler, I did not feel entirely safe in a hotel that seemed so empty and lacking in activity or visible guests.
What truly ruined the stay, however, was discovering dried blood on one of the curtains in my room. It was absolutely disgusting and immediately made me uneasy about the cleanliness of the entire space. After seeing that, I was afraid to touch much of anything in the room and could not relax or get comfortable for the remainder of my stay. Honestly, it felt like a serious health concern and something housekeeping should never have missed.
For the price and reputation of this hotel, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, maintenance, and overall comfort. Sadly, this experience fell far below expectations.I hardly ever write reviews, but considering this is one of the most expensive hotels in Oklahoma City, I felt compelled to share my experience.
I had an excellent experience with the Fordson Hotel. The staff were professional, welcoming and genuinely committed to making guests feel taken care of. The hotel management team, including Debra and Melanie, went above and beyond. Their willingness to help really stood out.
It’s rare to come across a team that combines professionalism with genuine hospitality. I’d happily recommend the Fordson to anyone looking for a hotel where the service feels thoughtful, personal and dependable.
