The place
Bradford House sits at NW 38th Street and Classen Boulevard in the Uptown 23rd/Classen area, a walkable stretch of independent shops and restaurants northwest of downtown Oklahoma City.
The concept
Bradford House opened in May 2020 inside a mustard-colored 1912 house that had originally held four apartment units — a residential building, not a former hotel, converted for the first time into overnight accommodation. Owners Jason and Sara Kate Little worked with Gardner Studio on a restoration that kept the original staircase, crown molding, and fireplace mantels, then added a two-story modern wing (24 of the property's 36 rooms) around a shared courtyard. It is the most intimate entry among Oklahoma City's recent hotel openings, and the one most clearly built on a European small-hotel model: vintage Italian light fixtures, antique wallpaper, and a basement bakery replace the meeting-room-and-ballroom logic of the city's bigger new hotels. It later joined Marriott's Design Hotels collection, a curation reserved for independently minded, design-led properties.
Dining & wellness
The property runs its own bar and café, plus Quincy's Bake Shop tucked into the basement — there is no large-scale restaurant or banquet operation, in keeping with the hotel's small-house scale.
