Hard Rock International has unveiled plans for an $850 million hotel, casino and residential complex on San Juan Bay, its first integrated casino resort in Puerto Rico. Construction is expected to start in mid-2026 for a targeted 2029 opening.

The place

The resort is planned for a site on San Juan Bay adjacent to Old San Juan, with views of both the bay and the Atlantic Ocean and proximity to Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport.

The concept

Announced as an $850 million new-build integrated resort, the project pairs a Hard Rock hotel and casino with 186 branded residences, designed by Klai Juba Wald and CMA Architects. Hard Rock and its local development partners describe it as Puerto Rico's first full-scale integrated casino resort. Construction is reported to start in mid-2026, with an opening targeted for 2029; no reports of delays or stalling have surfaced since the March 2025 announcement.

Dining & wellness

Plans call for multiple dining venues spanning casual to upscale, a Rock Spa and fitness center, three terrace-level pools, a recording studio and event venues, plus a kids' club, arcade and teen spaces.
