Casa Botánica converted the founder's own Ocean Park residence into an eight-room wellness boutique hotel in 2022, built around daily yoga, an Ayurvedic vegan breakfast and a garden setting a few minutes from the beach. It is among San Juan's smallest and most specialized boutique openings of the period.

The concept

Casa Botánica turns the former personal residence of its founder, Sylvia, into an eight-room wellness-focused boutique hotel that opened in 2022. Each of the eight rooms — spanning Treehouse, Greenhouse, Glasshouse and White Cottage categories — is arranged around a garden setting with private terraces and outdoor showers, positioning the property as a small-scale, design-led retreat rather than a conventional hotel.

Dining & wellness

A complimentary Ayurvedic-inspired vegan breakfast is served daily in the garden, sourced from local farms; Friday evenings turn the property into a plant-forward pop-up dinner series led by rotating vegan chefs. Daily yoga in the garden is a signature amenity; no spa treatments are documented.
