The place

Riverside Wharf sits at 114 Southwest North River Drive on the north bank of the Miami River in downtown Miami, a working stretch of the river that already houses the longtime Wharf Miami restaurant and bar operated by Breakwater Hospitality Group. The site places the hotel within walking distance of the Miami River's restaurant row and a short ride from Brickell and the Central Business District, while the marina component ties it directly to the river's boating culture rather than the beach-driven identity of most new Miami hotel openings.

The concept

Dream Miami is the hospitality centerpiece of Riverside Wharf, a two-tower, roughly 200,000-square-foot mixed-use development that developers MV Real Estate Holdings and Driftwood Capital, working with Merrimac Ventures, describe as a hospitality-driven entertainment complex rather than a conventional hotel project. Designed by Jon Cardello of Miami-based CUBE3 Architects with interiors by ICRAVE, the complex pairs the 165-room Dream hotel with roughly six dining and nightlife venues — reported to include Asian and Italian coastal concepts — a 30,000-square-foot rooftop pool deck and nightclub, a 10,000-square-foot event hall, and a marina built to accommodate mega yachts for VIP arrivals by water as well as by road. The $350 million project broke ground on December 4, 2025, after several years of planning and at least one earlier timeline (a 2025 opening had been floated when the project was first announced). As Dream Hotel Group's flagship Florida property, it extends a brand built on nightlife-driven positioning in New York, Hollywood and Nashville into a market where the Miami River, rather than the ocean, is the amenity — a bet that a waterfront entertainment complex with its own marina can draw the kind of see-and-be-seen crowd Dream has cultivated elsewhere, in a part of downtown Miami still establishing itself as a nightlife destination distinct from Brickell or South Beach.

Dining & wellness

Developer materials describe roughly six dining and nightlife venues across the complex, including Asian and Italian coastal cuisine concepts, alongside the existing Wharf Miami restaurant that continues to operate on the site. A 30,000-square-foot rooftop pool deck doubles as a nightclub, and the complex includes wellness facilities and a 10,000-square-foot event hall. Specific chefs and restaurant names had not been announced as of the December 2025 groundbreaking.
