Wellington Glasgow by Adina

Wellington Glasgow by Adina opened on 8 December 2025 in a listed 19th-century building on Wellington Street, a short walk from George Square. It has 98 studio apartments and is the first Adina in the UK. The operator is TFE Hotels, an Australian group that runs seven brands across Oceania and Europe. Glasgow is its first UK opening, announced for autumn 2025 and delivered in December.

The place

Wellington Street, just off George Square, in the grid of central Glasgow. Glasgow Central Station, Buchanan Street and the Buchanan Galleries shopping centre are all within walking distance, and the hotel sits close to the conference and music venues of the city centre.

Glasgow Airport is eight miles away. The 24-hour No. 500 airport shuttle bus leaves from Buchanan Bus Station and takes about 15 minutes.

The concept

The building is a 19th-century listed property known as Wellington House. TFE Hotels, a Sydney-based group that describes itself as the largest custodian of heritage hotels in Oceania, kept the stone façade and period features and fitted it out as an aparthotel. It opened on 8 December 2025, the group's first property in the United Kingdom.

There are 98 apartments in three categories: Studio Rooms, Studio Premier Rooms, and Studio Premier Rooms with sofa beds. Each has an open-plan living and sleeping area, a kitchenette with an integrated dining space, an in-room steamer and a coffee machine. Pre-opening material also mentioned a washer-dryer, work desks and USB-C charging; the opening announcement does not repeat those details, so they should be checked against the room type booked.

The group launched the Adina brand in the UK with two hotels within a month: Glasgow, and The Hobson Cambridge by Adina, a 56-key property due to open at the end of November 2025.

Dining & wellness

There is no full restaurant. A lobby shop and café bar next to reception serves grab-and-go breakfast during the day and a short drinks list in the evening. Breakfast to go is charged separately and, according to booking listings, runs from 6:30 to 10:30 on weekdays. Pre-opening coverage had promised an all-day restaurant; the opening announcement describes only the café bar. The hotel has a gym, laundry facilities and a meeting room.
