The place
The Address Wren occupies the top floor of Caledonian Chambers, a Category B-listed Edwardian commercial building at 87 Union Street, directly above the glass roof of Glasgow Central Station.
The concept
The Address Wren opened on 17 July 2026, the second Glasgow hotel and seventh overall for the Irish, family-owned Address Collective, following the 2024 launch of The Address Glasgow. It converts the penthouse floor of the historic Caledonian Chambers — previously commercial office space, never before a hotel — into a 30-room boutique property, timed to open ahead of the 2026 Commonwealth Games in the city. The design leans on the building's rooftop position and its namesake bird, the wren, for a small-scale, residential-feeling concept: custom furniture, a bespoke carpet runner with wren-footprint motifs, and a compact footprint built around The Parlour, a lounge-style arrival space rather than a conventional lobby.
Dining & wellness
The Parlour serves as the hotel's social hub, combining reception with a relaxed lounge and a 'Grab 'n' Go' counter for guests. A full restaurant or spa offer had not been detailed in coverage of the opening. Details to be confirmed.
