The place

The hotel occupies a 19th-century townhouse on Bath Street in Glasgow's cultural quarter, within walking distance of the Glasgow School of Art and the city's gallery district.

The concept

Arthouse Glasgow is the debut property of Oberland, a new British group built around reviving heritage buildings; design studio A-nrd restored original wood panelling, pine floors, a birdcage lift and stained-glass windows across four room categories, from compact 'Pocket' rooms from £99 to full suites from £229. It targets design-conscious travelers who want period character without hotel-chain gloss.

Dining & wellness

Celentano's, a Michelin Bib Gourmand Italian restaurant relocated from Glasgow's East End, anchors the ground floor alongside a bar and lounge open to hotel guests and locals.
