The place
The Address Glasgow occupies a classically listed, six-storey former insurance-company building at 39-45 Renfield Street, built in the 1890s, close to Buchanan Street, George Square and Merchant City in the heart of the city centre.
The concept
The Address Glasgow, which had its official opening on 1 March 2024, is the first hotel outside Ireland for the family-owned Address Collective. The group spent over £9 million converting the listed former office building — its first-ever use as a hotel — retaining the classical shell while fitting it out with interiors curated by the Collective's Ciara McGettigan, who mixed Irish wool furnishings and Edinburgh Weavers fabrics with Scottish motifs. At 95 rooms across classic, club and dedicated wellness categories, it positions itself as a four-star, design-driven boutique rather than a big-box city-centre hotel, leaning on the building's period detail and a distinctly Irish-Scottish design story to stand apart from the chains around it.
Dining & wellness
North, the hotel's 70-seat in-house restaurant and cocktail bar, serves an international, seasonally-driven menu for lunch and dinner. There is also a fully equipped gym and a Wellness Suite with a bespoke Himalayan rock-salt sauna and plunge pool.
