The concept Opened in March 2023 as a AU$50 million ground-up development by South Australian developer Ginos Group, this was the company's first hotel build and the debut of Wyndham's TRYP brand in South Australia; at the time it was Australia's only TRYP-branded hotel. The 120 rooms span Standard, Deluxe and six corner Executive Suites on the eleventh floor, pitched at TRYP's self-described urban, lifestyle-boutique positioning aimed at design-conscious, tech-savvy travellers.
It is a straightforward but well-located CBD debut for a brand better known in Europe, giving Wyndham a foothold in Adelaide's lifestyle-hotel segment without the heritage-conversion story that defines several of its CBD neighbours.
Dining & wellness Z Bar and Z Café serve South Australian wines, craft beer and locally sourced menus; the hotel also has a gym, a library and a small boardroom for meetings.
Our take A competent, well-positioned lifestyle-brand debut rather than a landmark opening: solid for the price point, but it doesn't attempt the architectural statement of the Marriott or Crystalbrook projects nearby.

I had a marvellous stay here at Tryp by Wyndam, the hospitality from staff was warm and incredibly welcoming. Beautifully clean appointed, quiet and spacious rooms. Wonderful breakfast buffet daily, lovely bar to have a social drink in and a welome cocktail on arrival. The gym was one of the best I have been inside of within a hotel. The charming and hard-working staff make this hotel even better. I am already looking forward to my next trip to Adelaide and will stay here again.
I am writing this 1 night into a 3 night stay, and I am so disappointed and disgusted with what appears to be one of those ‘no service’ hotels not what was expected at all. Check in yesterday was disgraceful; having to phone an absent duty manager and wait fifteen minutes, this was after having to use a hotel trolley to bring our luggage from around the corner as the taxi driver was bullied out of parking outside the hotel by a bus driver! Once in the room, which was fine except for a few overlooked dirty surfaces (ring marks wet sticky glasses from previous guests). Comfortable bed, lighting in room way too bright and not dimmable. Bathroom fine, no non slip mat for shower, which is slippery( lucky we bought our own), hairdryer handle is sticky, a sure sign of not being wiped after gel or mousse application and it was untidily pushed to the back of the shelf under the basin. However, this morning when we wanted to be in touch with reception/front office again, regarding housekeeping request, and other matters - same sign : phone Duty Manager! Clearly a severely pared down staff situation and not at all reassuring. We inquired about coffees being available as restaurant had closed at 10:30 and was told that if we wanted; she could make it. Mmm. So we headed out instead, in fact, if we hadn’t already paid in full, I would have checked and gone elsewhere. This has not been a good experience and has spoilt our entire vacation here in Adelaide. Update: we returned at 4pm - no housekeeping done and was asked whether I had requested a ‘green’ or ‘full’ service both news to me, unbelievable! Having worked across this sector for nearly four decades, I find that guests rarely articulate what troubled them — they simply don’t return.
I stayed here on a trip with friends for a short stay in Adelaide. Hotel was very responsive to our request to have rooms close together and on check in the friendly staff had the request ready to action. Rooms were well laid out and generous with space, very clean, and i really enjoyed the comfortable bed and pillows. Hotel amenities were great, gym, library for guests, had a margarita in the bar one evening. I'm sad i did not get the chance to play the Pac-Man machine, but will definitely do that if I return.
I stay here for work on a fortnightly basis. The rooms are always clean and tidy and the staff are fantastic. The Mexican themed restraunt is really good. The chicken wings are next level and the Ceasar salad is also notable. Lots of different hot sauces available that you can help yourself to if you like a wide selection of these. Beware some are VERY HOT! and the buffet breakfast is also very good and good value. They have different size room options some with hills views and spas all with good beds, tea n coffee and ironing board and iron. Great location in the city centre only a short walk to Rundle mall or Adelaide oval. There's also a subway and an apporto over the road and a dominos down the road. The Saracens head hotel is a short walk and this is s fantastic little pub. I love the gym and they also have a free Packman machine when the restraunts open
One of my favourite hotels in Adelaide. Great and affordable place to stay or to escape the suburbs. Really good location in terms of food and drinks/ party too as most places are walking distance from the hotel. Really clean and comfortable. Staff and service is always amazing.
