The place
The hotel rises next to the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, alongside the city's baseball, football, basketball and hockey venues, as part of a brand-new casino and entertainment complex built on a previously vacant site.
The concept
Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia is a ground-up construction — casino floor, entertainment venues and a 208-room hotel tower opened together in early 2021, operated by The Cordish Companies. The rooms carry AAA Four Diamond amenities (marble bathrooms, Nespresso machines, plush bedding), a tier above the typical stadium-district hotel, and the property positions itself as a full entertainment destination rather than a simple overnight stay for game days.
Dining & wellness
Dining spans the Zagat-rated steakhouse The Prime Rib, the Asian-fusion Luk Fu, the sports bar-and-lounge Sports & Social, a food hall-style 10th Street Market, and outposts of Philadelphia institutions Geno's Steaks and Termini Bros, alongside 24-hour room service.
