Had the most wonderful stay in a studio room @ Hyde and delicious dinner at Cleo! Couldn’t fault a thing! The rooms were so lush and service - superb! Huge props to Catherine at the front desk for being so kind, helpful and welcoming! and Millie from Cleo who was on fire with service - thank you for making my Birthday that extra bit special. We’ll be back. X

The Hyde Melbourne: Gorgeous Lighting, Questionable Priorities The Hyde knows how to serve aesthetic. Moody lighting, big party energy, the kind of lobby that photographs beautifully for the 'gram — full marks for vibes. If you're after a night out with a bed attached, book here and enjoy the show. But if you actually want to sleep? Skip the Horizon Suite like it owes you money. I paid premium rates for two nights of what I can only describe as an unofficial front-row ticket to the downstairs bar — bass thumping through the walls until 1am, no invite required. Nowhere during booking was this mentioned. Funny how "boutique hotel" never comes with the subtitle "also a nightclub, your room is the speaker." The shower couldn't commit to a temperature — full scalding-to-arctic rotation, very "unpredictable diva." The aircon only cools, so if you're cold, tough luck, rug up. Room service was basically theoretical. For the money, this was a hard pass. Gorgeous to look at, miserable to stay in. There are better options nearby that won't charge you Horizon Suite prices for a bunk bed next to a subwoofer. Won't be back — the bar clearly outranks the guests.

I had a fantastic stay at Hyde Melbourne Place. The hotel is beautifully designed, modern, and perfectly located, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms were comfortable, spotless, and thoughtfully appointed, and the overall atmosphere felt both stylish and welcoming. A special thank you to Shane, who provided exceptional service throughout my stay. He was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. His warm attitude and genuine willingness to help made a real difference and elevated the entire experience. I highly recommend Hyde Melbourne Place and look forward to staying here again in the future.

My first time staying at the Hyde. Amazing staff and service. Rooms were lovely, clean, tidy, beds comfy, airconditioning great, lights take abit to get used to and rooms are dark but once you have it worked out it is ok. I have booked to stay at the hotel again. I cannot wait to be back. Cleo is great for a drink and dinner there was great. Location was easy and ubers come quickly. I cannot wait to stay there next time. Booked for a few weeks time.

Absolutely amazing place! Such a colourful and cosy hotel with a great vibe. The reception staff were all incredibly friendly from check in to check out. They even offered to let me use the bathroom before I collected my luggage, which was very thoughtful. The location is perfect and makes it easy to get anywhere. As a solo traveller, it was so convenient to pop back to the hotel for a quick rest before heading out again, which made my trip even more enjoyable. The rooftop offers a beautiful view of the city at night, and the lounge area was so comfortable that I almost fell asleep on the couch! Both the room and the hotel are beautiful, warm, and inviting. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!
