Hard Rock Las Vegas (Guitar Hotel)

Hard Rock International is turning the former Mirage site on the Las Vegas Strip into a 42-story, guitar-shaped resort tower slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2027. The 675-room tower, designed by Klai Juba Wald Architecture + Interiors, tops out at 660 feet and anchors a resort expected to total nearly 3,600 rooms.

The place

The tower rises on the site of the demolished Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip, its guitar-shaped volume positioned where the resort's landmark volcano once stood.

The concept

Designed by Klai Juba Wald Architecture + Interiors — the firm behind the original Guitar Hotel at Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida — the 660-foot, two-tone blue glass tower gives Hard Rock International its most visible Las Vegas statement yet, four years after buying the Mirage from MGM Resorts for $1.075 billion. It anchors a resort expected to total nearly 3,600 rooms combining the new tower with reclad former Mirage buildings, aimed at music-driven entertainment and gaming crowds rather than the tropical resort it replaces.

Dining & wellness

Roughly 175,000 square feet of gaming space, two spas, multiple pool zones, live entertainment venues and dozens of restaurants, lounges and retail outlets are planned across the resort; specific outlets have not yet been announced.
