The place

Circa sits at 8 Fremont Street, at the western end of the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas, the neon-canopied pedestrian corridor that has anchored the city's original casino district since the 1990s. The address was assembled from three adjacent, long-closed properties (the Las Vegas Club, Mermaids Casino and the Glitter Gulch strip club, all demolished in 2017) giving Circa one of the only large, contiguous ground-up building sites downtown has offered in decades, rather than a renovation of an existing tower.

The concept

Derek and Greg Stevens, who also own the Golden Gate and The D Las Vegas a few blocks away, spent from 2015 to 2017 buying up and clearing the Las Vegas Club, Mermaids Casino and Glitter Gulch parcels before building Circa from the ground up: widely reported at the time as downtown's first new hotel-casino built from scratch in a generation. The casino and most non-hotel amenities opened October 28, 2020, with the 512-room hotel tower following on December 28, 2020; a nine-month expansion completed in October 2024 added 106 rooms, including four Sunset Suites, across four additional floors, bringing the total to 618 rooms in a 35-story, 480-foot tower.

Circa is positioned as a modern, adults-only counterpoint to Fremont Street's older, more downmarket casinos, built around sports viewing and nightlife rather than a family or classic leisure-resort script. The two-story, 8,002-square-foot casino runs 1,350 slot machines and 49 table games, alongside a three-story sportsbook operated by Circa Sports with room for roughly 1,000 spectators: one of the largest sports-betting viewing spaces in the city. The property earned a AAA Four Diamond rating and Global Gaming Awards Las Vegas' best North American gaming property in 2021, and parking runs through the nine-story, 982-space Garage Mahal across the street.

Dining & wellness

Dining includes Barry's Downtown Prime (steak and seafood, and the only part of the resort open to under-21 guests), 8 East for pan-Asian food, Project BBQ, Saginaw's Delicatessen and Victory Burger & Wings, alongside six bars including the rooftop Legacy Club, Vegas Vickie's and the 165-foot Mega Bar, billed as Nevada's longest indoor bar. Stadium Swim, the resort's signature amenity, spans six pools and 15,756 square feet with capacity for 4,000 people, a 143-foot video screen and year-round temperature control.

We were so glad to be able to book the $400 All In Package this summer after staying at The D last summer. From the time we checked in until we checked out the service was excellent from VIP in to the servers at 8 East and Saginaw's. We loved this stay included a daybed which we decided to do later in the day due to the hot temperatures. No better place to watch a fame and meet peiple from all over. This stay really exceeded our expectations. 💕😍 We will definitely look forward to staying there again.

While I'm strolled the Freemont Experience before, I've never been able to fully commit and stay downtown. Finally an opportunity to stay at Circa came about, and I was very impressed. The casino received raves from my entire crew and is the clear crown jewel of the area. Your mileage may vary on the Freemont Experience, but I'm confident most everyone will enjoy Circa Resort and Casino. We ate dinner at Barry's Steakhouse and wow, that was incredible. Right from the start with the incredible warm bread did I know we were on to something, as that was potentially the best pre-meal offering I've ever had. The shared apps we started with (Rock Shrimp. Braised Short RIb Ravioli, and Caesar Salads) were absolutely exceptional. The momentum didn't stop when we got our steaks, and the Vegan in the gorup wouldn't stop raving when she had the Vegan Truffle Meatloaf. We made an ill-advised stop into the strip on a different night to go to Nobu Caesars (which we had previously very much enjoyed but seems to have declined in quality and very much in service) and all I can say is that Barry's experience BLEW THAT AWAY. I wish I could have remembered my high quality server's name but I probably had a little too much fun at Circa Swim. Which brings me to the next part of the review, the pool and party experience at Circa Swim. We went twice and it lived up to the hype. What I liked about it is that it was the right amount of party while also offering options for those that prefer to chill. I've been to other pools that are absolutely shoulder to shoulder with people to see a live concert of whatever, and I much preferred this busy but breathable environment. The music is very lively and there are plenty of people enjoying themselves, so I considered it the best of both worlds. And it's obviously heaven for sports fans, but you really don't need to care at all about the amazing screens and have an amazing time. As with many places in Vegas though have the women be aware of what they are bringing in and if it's against their policies as you really do not want to be trekking all the way back to the room and perhaps waiting in the security line again during peak hours. While perhaps it's not likely on a football Sunday, we were able to easily find some space on general lay chairs once our day bed reservation was over. It was naive thinking worrying that we were too hungover to meet our minimums on day 3 of partying as the experience was just that fun that everyone found it easy to rally, and in fact stayed later then we planned. My host Antaun was awesome and was able to give me some perks through my app play. Post dinner at Barry's he was even able to quickly introduce my group to the hotel owner Derek Stevens (you've seen his face on many commercials). This would be unfathomable at one of the strip casinos and I found it really cool that Stevens was enjoying the same bars we were and catching up with some of the managers over a drink. It gives it a small business feel even though it's obviously a really cool and massive space. And that's what I think is what earns Circa such a good review. It threads the needle of a high end and lively casino with one that is cozier. I wasn't losing my group in a maze of hallways and slots, but there was also a great energy on the nights we were gambling. The public bathrooms were super clean, our water pressure in the showers was the best around if you are into that short of thing, and I barely even touched on the world class sportsbook viewing. If I had a worry it was that the women on the trip wouldn't be as impressed due to the sporting theme, but all 3 really came out giving it exceptionally high praise. I wish we had more time to try out the medium tier restaurant 8 East or give the Legacy Club a go on the roof, but I guess I'll have to come back again some time!

My wife and I recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary with a stay at Circa Resort & Casino in downtown Las Vegas. We deliberately chose an adults only property so we could enjoy a peaceful, kid free escape. The resort delivered a modern, stylish vibe with comfortable rooms and a convenient downtown location that made getting around easy. We appreciated the energetic yet upscale atmosphere that felt perfect for a special occasion. The rooftop lounge is absolutely amazing and offers outdoor seating with excellent views of all of Vegas, the perfect place for pre-dinner cocktails. Service was impeccable. During our trip, an issue with our room came up, as they sometimes do when traveling. What impressed us most was how thoughtfully and quickly the team responded when we shared our feedback afterward. I’ve always believed that the true measure of a great hotel isn’t whether everything goes perfectly, but how problems are handled when they arise. Circa’s team showed genuine care and professionalism, which turned our stay into a memorable and positive experience overall. We left feeling valued as guests and would happily return in the future. If you’re looking for an adults only resort in Las Vegas with a fresh, contemporary feel, Circa is worth considering and I highly recommend it!

From our arrival to our departure, the service we received was truly exceptional. We would particularly like to commend Sincere from the maintenance department, who visited our room to address an air conditioning concern. His professionalism, friendliness, and efficiency in resolving the issue were greatly appreciated, and he maintained a respectful demeanor throughout. We kindly request that his supervisor and director be made aware of his outstanding service. We also thoroughly enjoyed the modern and high-tech elevators leading to the rooms, which stood out compared to other establishments. Furthermore, the diverse food options available were excellent, and the sportsbook facility was particularly impressive.

First, I want to say that we've stayed at Circa several times before and have always had a great experience. We were so excited to bring our family this time to celebrate my daughter-in-law's 21st birthday because we've always loved staying here. Unfortunately, this trip was very different. Before we arrived, we requested adjoining rooms. We completely understand that those aren't always available, so we also let the front desk know that being on the same floor would be fine. We checked in around 9:00 a.m. and mentioned it again. At that time, we were told it didn't seem like it would be a problem since we had checked in so early. We spent the day at Stadium Swim, which is one of our favorite things about staying at Circa. We love the atmosphere and especially the in-water couches. The only downside was that our waitress wasn't very friendly, which was disappointing. At the end of the day, we paid our bill. Neither my husband nor I had our reading glasses with us, so we didn't notice until we got back to our room that we had been charged for an extra bucket of drinks. We tried calling the front desk using the Alexa in our room, but it wasn't working. My husband ended up walking all the way back down to the pool to explain the situation. The first response he received from the manager was basically that there was nothing they could do because we should have caught the mistake before our card was charged. We were honestly surprised by that. That's not the kind of customer service we've experienced at Circa before. After talking it through, the manager did agree to credit the amount toward our spending at the pool the next day, and we appreciated that. The room situation was another disappointment. We didn't get adjoining rooms, we weren't on the same floor, and we weren't even in the same elevators. We went back to the front desk to see if anything could be done, and the response was basically, "Sorry." There wasn't any effort to find another solution, which was frustrating. As for the Alexa, we mentioned it to one of the housekeepers. She agreed it looked broken and called someone from maintenance. He came up, confirmed the cord was bad, radioed someone, and then we never heard anything else. Later, we stopped by the front desk again, and they said they would put in a maintenance ticket. The next afternoon, someone called my cell phone around 2:00 while we were at the pool. I didn't have my phone with me, so I didn't see the missed call until much later that evening. I assumed someone would simply repair the Alexa while housekeeping was cleaning the room, but when we got back that night, the Alexa still wasn't fixed, and our room hadn't been serviced either, even though our Do Not Disturb sign wasn't on. This trip was supposed to be a special celebration for our family, and we chose Circa because we've always had such great experiences here. Instead, we left disappointed. It wasn't just one issue—it was several little things that added up, along with customer service that didn't feel like the Circa we've come to know. I'm sharing this because we've always enjoyed staying at your hotel and truly hope this was just an off weekend. We'd love to continue coming back, but this experience simply didn't live up to the level of service we've always expected from Circa.
