Disney Lakeshore Lodge, a planned 900-room resort on Bay Lake between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness, is targeting a 2027 opening after construction reportedly reached full height in September 2025. The project revives the footprint of 'Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge,' a similarly sized resort Disney announced in 2018 and shelved mid-construction in 2020.

The place
The resort is being built between Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, on Bay Lake, on the former site of Disney's River Country — the company's original water park, closed since 2001.
The concept
Disney Lakeshore Lodge is a rebooted version of a project Disney had already announced once before and shelved: originally unveiled as 'Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge' in 2018, construction was paused indefinitely in 2020 with some work already under way, before Disney revived the same footprint under the new Lakeshore Lodge name in November 2024 with a 2027 target. The design leans on Disney animated-film theming across its rooms, referencing Bambi, Brother Bear, The Fox and the Hound and Pocahontas.
