Tempo by Hilton Louisville Downtown NuLu

Tempo by Hilton Louisville Downtown NuLu opened in May 2024 as only the third property in Hilton's wellness-oriented Tempo brand, bringing 130 rooms, in-room Peloton bikes and a rooftop restaurant to the edge of NuLu just ahead of Kentucky Derby 150.

The place

Located at 710 East Jefferson Street on the edge of downtown and the NuLu district, the hotel occupies a newly constructed building completed in 2024, a short walk from Louisville Slugger Field and the Rabbit Hole Distillery.

The concept

Tempo by Hilton is Hilton's newer lifestyle brand built around balance and momentum for frequent travelers, and this was only the third Tempo property to open nationally. The 130-room Louisville hotel leans into that positioning with five dedicated Wellness Rooms equipped with Peloton bikes, alongside a flex meeting space and a 1,200-square-foot private event area. Its opening was timed deliberately: the hotel debuted just ahead of the 150th Kentucky Derby and the PGA Championship at nearby Valhalla, and it was subsequently named among Travel + Leisure's 50 best places to travel in 2024.

Dining & wellness

Moonsong Bar + Café serves coffee and light fare on the ground floor, while High Stakes Grill is a full-service rooftop restaurant and event space with downtown skyline views.
