The place

The hotel occupies the 26-story former Fifth Third Bank tower at 401 S. 4th Street in downtown Louisville, directly adjacent to the 4th Street Live! entertainment district and overlooking the Ohio River.

The concept

Indianapolis developer The Ghoman Group secured Marriott's franchise approval to convert the office tower — vacated by Fifth Third Bank in 2025 — into the state's first JW Marriott, adding a new east-side annex to house a roughly 8,000-square-foot ballroom and guest drop-off.

Dining & wellness

The hotel is planned with five restaurant spaces, including national dining concepts, a rooftop bar overlooking the river, a lobby bar, a full-service spa and a fitness center.
