Crystalbrook Aurora
Canberra finally gets an international-grade luxury hotel in its city centre.
Announced · Early 2027
Crystalbrook Collection is bringing its first Canberra property to Garema Place: a 225-room, 10-storey tower designed to give the Australian capital the international luxury hotel its city centre has never had. Construction topped out in January 2026, with opening slated for early 2027.

The place
The hotel rises on Bunda Street at Garema Place, opposite Canberra Centre, in the heart of the Civic city centre — a site the capital has lacked a five-star address for.
The concept
A new-build, 10-storey tower whose curved facade nods to the city's parliamentary architecture, with interiors that pay tribute to Marion Mahony Griffin, one of the world's first licensed female architects and a formative figure in Canberra's design. It positions Crystalbrook's fifth property as the first true international luxury hotel in the national capital's downtown.
Dining & wellness
A modern European rooftop restaurant, ground-floor dining, and a wellness precinct including Crystalbrook's Eléme Day Spa, sauna, pool and gym.
