The place
Set on Provan Street in Campbell, a low-rise residential pocket of Canberra wrapped in parkland roughly a kilometre from the city centre, the hotel trades CBD density for proximity to the Australian War Memorial and the Russell defence precinct next door. Lake Burley Griffin and the National Convention Centre are a short walk or drive away, making the address a practical base for government and defence-related business travel.
The concept
The Sebel Canberra Campbell is Pro-invest Group's second Sebel-branded property in the capital, opened in September 2022 as a new-build. Every one of the 63 units — studios up to mezzanine layouts and two-bedroom apartments, ranging from 22 to 64 square metres — is self-contained, with a kitchenette and washer/dryer combo rather than daily room service, pitching the property squarely at longer-stay corporate, government and defence-sector visitors alongside families needing more space than a standard hotel room.
Dining & wellness
There is no restaurant, bar, pool or gym on site; the property operates as a self-catering apartment-hotel, with guests relying on kitchenettes in every unit and the cafes and dining options in the surrounding Campbell and Reid neighbourhoods.
