Cascade Hotel stands at 4600 Wornall Road on Kansas City's Country Club Plaza, the second half of a roughly $100 million new-construction development it shares with the adjoining Aloft hotel.

The concept

Cascade Hotel opened in October 2023 as new-build addition to the Plaza, positioned as the larger, more amenity-rich half of its dual-hotel development with Aloft. At 175 rooms, it was built around a food-and-beverage program more typical of a lifestyle resort than a standard upscale hotel: the Strang Chef Collective food hall groups four separate restaurant concepts under one roof, alongside a dedicated coffee shop, a lobby bar and over 10,000 square feet of flexible event space, including a ballroom that holds up to 450 people. Rooms lean into a wellness angle uncommon at this scale, with select suites featuring in-room Peloton bikes alongside a 24-hour fitness center, positioning the hotel toward both convention groups using its meeting space and leisure travelers drawn to the Plaza's shopping and restaurants.

Dining & wellness

The Strang Chef Collective food hall houses four restaurant concepts, complemented by a dedicated café, the Lounge 29 bar, in-room dining, and Sojourn Spa, which offers massage and facial treatments by appointment.
