The first Westin to open in Raleigh landed in Brier Creek in May 2023, three miles from RDU, with 236 rooms, a rooftop pool and five dining venues spanning Italian and Brazilian steakhouse concepts. It's aimed at business travelers and layovers rather than downtown exploring.

The place

A new-build hotel at 3931 Macaw Street in Brier Creek, roughly three miles from Raleigh-Durham International Airport and next to the Brier Creek Commons shopping and dining strip.

The concept

Opened in May 2023, this is the first Westin in Raleigh and only the second in North Carolina, bringing Marriott's wellness-oriented upscale brand to the airport corridor with 236 rooms, including 11 suites. The property leans on Westin's signature recovery routine — WestinWORKOUT fitness studio with Peloton bikes, Heavenly Beds — aimed squarely at road warriors and layover travelers rather than downtown leisure guests.

Dining & wellness

Five food-and-beverage outlets are on site, including Il Falò, an Italian wood-fired restaurant and wine and cocktail bar, Estampa Gaucha, a Brazilian steakhouse, a Starbucks, and the seasonal Halcyon Rooftop bar and pool deck for cocktails and small bites with skyline views.
