Oberlin Hotel

A new seven-storey, 153-room hotel is anchoring Raleigh's Village District under Hilton's Curio Collection banner, developed by Quality Oil Company. Its name and design reference Oberlin Village, the community freed slaves founded on the site after Emancipation, giving the project a historical grounding rare among new-build boutique hotels.

The place

The hotel rises seven storeys at 501 Woodburn Road inside Raleigh's Village District, a shopping and dining precinct with more than 100 storefronts and NC State's campus within walking distance.

The concept

Developed by Quality Oil Company for Curio Collection by Hilton, the 153-room hotel takes its name and design cues from Oberlin Village, the community founded nearby in the 1860s by freed slaves after Emancipation — a history built into the project's identity rather than treated as backdrop. It's the brand's second Curio Collection address in North Carolina, aimed at travelers seeking a boutique alternative to the district's chain hotels.

Dining & wellness

A sixth-floor restaurant and rooftop bar overlook downtown Raleigh, alongside a market-style café, a lobby cocktail bar and an outdoor courtyard built for live music and events.
