The place

The hotel sits within The RO, a 17-acre mixed-use development at West Alabama Street and Buffalo Speedway, at the edge of the historic River Oaks neighborhood — Houston's most established address for old money and architectural pedigree.

The concept

A 34-storey tower pairing a 105-room hotel with 44 private residences and a members' club, named for Birdsall Parmenas Briscoe, the architect behind many of River Oaks' National Register-listed homes. Roman and Williams' interiors draw on 1920s River Oaks, using reclaimed Cedar Bayou brick and oak millwork to root a new building in the neighborhood's architectural history — Auberge's first entry into the city.

Dining & wellness

A private members' club with café, walled garden and double-height library, a residents' pool on the 13th floor, and chef-driven restaurants distributed through The RO village; specific hotel dining outlets are not yet announced.
