The place
The hotel sits at 7118 Bertner Avenue, inside the Texas Medical Center — the world's largest medical complex, with more than 60 institutions and tens of thousands of daily staff, patients and visiting families packed into a few square miles just south of downtown Houston. NRG Stadium and the Museum District are close by, but the address is defined by the Medical Center itself: a market that had long relied on limited-service and extended-stay properties rather than genuine luxury hospitality. Blossom's 16-story tower was built to fill that gap, giving specialists attending medical conferences, and families of patients undergoing extended treatment, a full-service alternative within walking distance of the hospitals.
The concept
Crescent Hotels & Resorts developed Blossom Hotel Houston as part of its Latitudes: Lifestyle by Crescent collection, opening the 261-room, 16-story tower on February 9, 2022, with a ceremony attended by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and other city figures. Asia Rongyi Creative Company handled the design, working a lunar theme through the public spaces and guestrooms — a soft, pale palette paired with visual nods to Houston's aerospace industry, from artwork to lighting details, that ties the hotel to the city's NASA connection rather than to generic luxury signifiers. The property carries more than 9,000 square feet of event space across ten venues, including the 250-capacity Luna Ballroom, positioning it as a conference hotel for the Medical Center's steady flow of clinical and academic gatherings as much as a stay for visiting families. The hotel's standing rose quickly: TripAdvisor named it the Hottest New Hotel in the US for 2022, and it was cited locally as the first ground-up luxury hotel to open in Houston since COVID-19 disrupted the city's hospitality pipeline. That independent, design-led positioning shifted in 2025, when the property joined Hilton's Curio Collection as Blossom Hotel Houston, Curio Collection by Hilton — trading some of its stand-alone identity for distribution through Hilton's loyalty and booking network while keeping the original lunar design intact.
Dining & wellness
At opening, dining ran through two chef-driven restaurants: Duck House by Boon, a Cantonese room built around chef Ho Chee Boon's duck specialties, and AB Sushi, a Japanese restaurant from chef Akira Back. Following the 2025 Curio Collection rebrand, food and beverage now centers on Blossom Reserve for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Plum Skybar & Lounge, a 13th-floor bar pairing skyline views with cocktails and shareable plates. Total You Medical Spa — billed as the city's only hotel-based med-spa — adds facials, IV treatments and injectables alongside a rooftop pool and a Peloton-equipped fitness center.
