The concept
Marriott signed with developer GURNER in November 2022 to bring St. Regis, its top-tier luxury brand, to Australia for the first time, as the hotel component of the first tower in GURNER's AU$1.7 billion La Pelago resort. The roughly 185-room hotel is positioned as the flagship of a broader mixed-use project that also includes residences, part of a wave of international luxury brands — alongside Trump and Palm Beach Hotel elsewhere on the Gold Coast — targeting the destination.
Dining & wellness
Plans describe a specialty restaurant, a sky bar, a pool bar, a lounge and a dedicated St. Regis Bar, but no chef, restaurant name or food and beverage operator has been confirmed.
