ROKI Collection Queenstown opened in September 2025 with just 15 suites on the shore of Lake Wakatipu, a short walk from the town centre. The place
A lakefront site in central Queenstown on Lake Wakatipu, a three-minute walk from the town centre with views toward the Remarkables range.
The concept
Fifteen suites only, ranging from one-bedroom retreats to a 550-square-metre, four-bedroom flagship with its own lift, rooftop plunge pool and butler, make ROKI one of the smallest and most exclusive hotel openings in New Zealand this year. The name comes from the Maori word for tranquil, the stated design brief behind the whole project.
Dining & wellness
Culinary director Paul Froggatt runs three venues — Essence for fine dining, The Terrace for seafood, The Library Bar for cocktails — alongside ROKI Pure, a wellness sanctuary with a thermal zone, indoor pool, jacuzzi and two treatment suites.
