Le Méridien Salt Lake City Downtown
Utah's first Le Méridien anchors a new downtown district with the city's first full rooftop bar.
Open · Early 2023
Le Méridien's first Utah property opened as the flagship half of a new dual-branded tower in the freshly built West Quarter district. Its 144 rooms, French-Cajun brasserie and the city's first full-scale hotel rooftop bar give downtown Salt Lake City a design-forward option it didn't have before.

The place
Le Méridien sits in the newly built West Quarter development in Salt Lake City's Warehouse District, between The Gateway and City Creek Center, a few blocks from the Salt Palace Convention Center and the Delta Center.
The concept
Le Méridien opened as one half of Marriott's first dual-pad hotel project in Salt Lake City, sharing a new-build tower with the extended-stay Element next door — and marking the brand's debut in Utah. The 144 rooms and suites lean into Le Méridien's design-forward, European-inflected identity: floor-to-ceiling windows, emerald-tiled showers and custom furnishings rather than a generic convention-hotel look. The building was constructed from the ground up as part of West Quarter, a mixed-use district built around a pedestrian street connecting the two hotel brands to residential and retail space. Its headline feature is Van Ryder, billed as the first full-scale hotel rooftop bar in the Salt Lake City market — a genuine gap in the city's hospitality scene that the hotel was built to fill.
Dining & wellness
Adelaide, the hotel's ground-floor restaurant, is a French- and New Orleans-inspired urban brasserie with Cajun undertones. Van Ryder, the rooftop bar, serves small plates and cocktails with sweeping views toward the Wasatch mountains and was the first hotel rooftop of its kind in the market when it opened.
