Kimpton Hotel West Temple

Kimpton Hotel West Temple is a 216-room, 10-storey new-build planned for 370 South West Temple in downtown Salt Lake City, developed by The Domain Companies with roughly $102 million in construction financing from Cottonwood Group secured in March 2026. It will be the city's second Kimpton, targeted for completion by the first quarter of 2028.

The hotel is planned for 370 South West Temple in downtown Salt Lake City, near the Delta Center sports arena, the Salt Palace Convention Center and City Creek Center.

The concept

The Domain Companies is developing a 10-storey, ground-up Kimpton at 370 South West Temple, with construction financing of roughly $102 million from Cottonwood Group closing in March 2026. The architect, Solomon Cordwell Buenz, also designed Astra Tower — Utah's tallest building — and The Worthington, both large residential towers, giving the project a pedigree in Salt Lake City's recent high-rise wave. It will be Kimpton's second Salt Lake City property, after Hotel Monaco, and Cottonwood Group's chief investment officer cited the city's growing economy and tourism metrics as the draw for financing it.

Dining & wellness

Planned amenities include a rooftop bar, a restaurant, indoor and outdoor terraces, valet parking, a fitness centre and roughly 7,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
